Ian McKellen has said that the title of The Two Towers film will not be changed, despite pressure from a petition who believe that it is offensive after 11th September. See the article here.
Being from the U.S. even I do not find the title offensive. First off, the people that oppose the title of the move because it relates to such a tragedy isn’t what needs to be done to overcome such a loss. Re-naming a film, that was based on a book, which was by the way written well before any afgan idiot decided he needed to kill innocent people, is not the solution. The fact that the movie is based on this book, gives it every right to be named after it, especially after all the money they paid 😛 i have strong feeling about 9-11 also, but i think that is just a LITTLE on the extreme and, don’t you?
