Barnes and Noble University is once again offering their free class on The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogy. You can find more information on this class here.

“Lord of the Rings” cast to defend forest

The boys of New Line Cinema’s “Lord of the Rings” trilogy are taking their tight-knit friendship and putting it to work to save a tree or two. This program will give the LOTR fans and environmentally-conscious consumers a chance to adopt a tree in a forest, which will hopefully be in New Zealand, where the movies were filmed.

Visit the Pelennor Fields

The official site has an update! Go behind the scenes on the set of the trilogy’s biggest battle! Click on the picture that says “Visit Pelennor Fields”. There you will find an interview with David Wenham (Faramir) about the battle of the Pelennor Fields. There’s also a link to watch a Quicktime video of the battle, and while you’re there, view the photo gallery dedicated entirely to the Pelennor Fields.

They love a parade

The city council in Wellington has decided on metal barriers, which will line the parade route, and protect the LotR cast from the 80,000 or so people expected to be spectators. Read the whole story at Stuff.

Sala Baker in Interview!

Sala Baker answers some questions on how the third movie will beat the first 2, and questions on his stunts, and playing the ‘bad guy’ sauron. But he kept spirits up, answering to the sadnesses of the ending of the trilogy movies, claiming: “It’s not over. There’s the DVDs, extended DVDS, boxed sets, and all that stuff.”
