Ian McKellen – official site update
The Lord of the Rings E-post section of Ian McKellen’s official site has been updated. One of the things he reveals is that he has not yet watched the Extended Edition of Return of the King.

Huh? How is that even possible; wasn’t he commenting on the Cast Commentary of RotK?
Correct me if I’m mistaken, but he has in all the other editions… I watched them but I can’t recall at the moment…
I agree with, Annûniel. Maybe he didn’t actually watch it just commentated on it, hey it’s possible.
….. your kidding, right? Ian Mckellan hasn’t watched the extended edition of Return of the King yet?!? Amazing. He really should. *nods* Especially the scene that really cracked me up. “So passes Denethor…” Lol! He’s still passing by!, and yet Gandalf isn’t doing anything to save Denethor’s stinky rear! I never have blamed him though. Anyhoo, I forgot the point of this… oh yeah! WATCH THE MOVIE MR. MCKELLAN!!! Its great!
