The official site for the stage version of the Lord of the Rings has now released details of the cast for the forthcoming LotR stage production.
The Canadian and British cast of 55 includes Brent Carver as Gandalf, James Loye as Frodo and Gabriel Burrafato will play Legolas.
Electronic Arts now has the rights to use Tolkien’s literary works in their game development (previously they were limited to using the LotR theatrical versions). This means that future games will be able to use people, places and battles that were not depicted in the movies. Two new games are being developed; The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-earth II and The Lord of the Rings Tactics.

The stage version of the LotR is due to open in Toronto next year. This article at The Globe and Mail discusses the state of the art stage, which has 2 rotating plates and 16 elevators, that will be used in the production.
