Canadians pick their favorite books
Canadian readers have been voting for their favorite books and 4 of Tolkien’s works have been voted into the top 40 list. The highest entry was The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King which was voted into the number 5 slot. You can view a complete list of the top 40 choices at newswire.ca .

Well I’m proud to be Canadian – i love almost all those books!
The Da Vinci Code?!?! Currently not so proud to be a Canadian. I thikn it’s said that more Canadian authors didn’t make the top slots. At least Anne of Green Gables is there.
I am not Canadian so I dont know of many Canadian authors only Lucy Maud Montgomery. Her books are my favorite (other than LOTRS). SO I think you should be proud that she is listed. At least your country has good taste (better than mine (I think)). Mine is all into the terrible and immoral books “The Gossip Girls”! Pretty sad!
