Happy birthday, Brad Dourif!

Online Tolkien Course

Due to popular demand, the online Course on Tolkien hosted by Cardiff University will be run again later this semester, starting on May 1st. Both students and adult learners can enroll, and explore the rich background of myth, languages and contemporary ideas of Tolkien’s creative writing.

It is taught by Dr. Dimitra Fimi, who has given papers on Tolkien at a number of conferences, including the hugely successful Tolkien 2005 in Birmingham, England, last August.

Music for the LotR stage version

Composer A.R. Rahman and the Finnish group Varttina have combined their efforts for the ”The Lord of the Rings” stage version music. You can read a short interview with A.R. Rahman here. The opening day of the LotR stage version is on March 23.
