Howard Shore “on track” for The Hobbit movies

YES!! This is the best new I’ve heard yet for the Hobbit!
Hopefully Shore’s able to keep his head and not get too freaked ouut by expectations.
What do you think, should he try using the same things where he can, like the shire theme and the ring theme? Or should it be all new material?
I’m leaning more on all new material…while the Hobbit is directly related to the Trilogy, it has SUCH a different feel…I am so excited to hear what he writes for the dwarves, Mirkwood and Laketown. Those are going to be awesome themes!
