Who will be Bilbo?
Both Peter Jackson and Guillermo del Toro have put paid to the rumors that Tobey Maguire has been cast as Bilbo in the forthcoming movies of The Hobbit. Whilst auditions are taking place the news as to who will be Bilbo is not expected for a month or two.

whoever they pick i’m confident they’ll pick the right person to play Bilbo. as for the voices of the trolls (tom, william and bert) i have a feeling their voices will be done by Andy Serkis as Andy also did the voice of The Witch King and some Orcs/Uruks.
Tobey Maguire to be Bilbo?!? I can’t picture him as Bilbo. Well, we’ll see how he does with the part. He’s a great actor, so, I think he’ll do a nice job.
I also can’t imagine Tobey Maguire as Bilbo. It seems kind of strange.
I hope they choose wisely :] I for one would like to see someone relatively unknown, certainly not Maguire… Even if I personally liked the guy, he’d look too much like EW’s Frodo in my opinion. :7
I was thinking that James McAvoy would be perfect for the part…having a hard time putting “Spiderman” in the role.
i think they should cast Ian Holm to play bilbo because we’ve already seen him play bilbo in the trilogy. it would be confusing to see another actor play bilbo
