Ian McKellen’s thoughts on reprising Gandalf
On his website Ian McKellen talks about his thoughts of reprising the role of Gandalf and confirms that he will begin filming in Wellington, New Zealand, on 21st February 2011.

Haha, I’m very happy that we have Ian McKellen back as Gandalf.
That is such a relief! Goodness, I can’t even believe he wondered if anyone cared if he didn’t do it. And of course I know that Michael Gambon was not the first to play Dumbledore, I seriously liked the first guy better!
So all in all I am well beyond glad, I am ecstatic! Thank Ian!! =D
He’s gonna come back as Gandalf! Yippee! It’s so great! It wouldn’t be the same movie and character without him.
