Announcing the Release dates and titles for the Hobbit Movies

According to an article inThe Hollywood Reporter the release dates and titles for the two Hobbit movies have just been announced. “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,” will be released on Dec. 14, 2012 and “The Hobbit: There and Back Again,” will be released on Dec. 13, 2013.

Peter Jackson answers 20 questions- Question#1

On May 2nd Peter Jackson promised to answer 20 questions, concerning The Hobbit movies, chosen from the thousands posted by fans. Today he posted the answer to Question #1 on his Facebook Page.

In a commentary on Spinoff Online reporter Graeme McMillan questions whether the recent explosion at the Stone St Studios is indicative of a production that is plagued with bad luck. He wonders; “Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone who’d know when it’d be a good idea to just… stop?”.

Minor explosion at Hobbit studio.

Two workers received minor burns after a small explosion at Stone St Studios in Miramar. The men were working on sculptures to be used in The Hobbit. For more details see this article at nzherald.co.nz.
