Brickworld is an annual convention where Adult Fans of LEGO display their creations. At this year’s Brickworld Chicago, held from June 15th to the 19th, a number of participants collaborated, and won Best Group Layout with a display the called: ‘Lord of the Rings’. Dame Edna as The Goblin King and a new role for Lost’s Kate; PJ’s latest update.

Peter Jackson, on his Facebook page, has just announced two more Hobbit cast members. Australian actor Barry Humphries, best known as Dame Edna Everage, has been cast as The Goblin King, and Canadian actress Evangeline Lily, Kate from the series Lost, enters the cast as Tauriel, a Woodland Elf.

Smaug and Necromancer; dual roles for Benedict Cumberbatch

Martin Freeman, last month, revealed that his Sherlock Holmes co-star had landed a role in The Hobbit. Deadline New York has just revealed that Benedict Cumberbatch has actually landed two roles; he will provide the voices for both the Necromancer, and Smaug the Dragon.

According to an article in Deadline New York, Welsh actor Luke Evans has just been cast as Bard the Bowman.

Elijah Wood on The Hobbit

Elijah Wood revealed to Access Hollywood that he is looking forward to traveling back to Middle Earth and strapping on his Hobbit feet!. He is due to travel New Zealand for filming in October of this year.

Hobbit Filming on Hiatus until August.

According to an article in The Southland Times Sir Peter Jackson’s private Gulfstream jet is parked up at Queenstown Airport. A spokesman for Sir Peter said that said the jet made frequent visits to Queenstown and also, that the two-part epic adaptation of J R R Tolkien’s The Hobbit was on a shooting hiatus until August.
