A long, narrow pass in northen Beleriand leading from Dorthonion and Taur-nu-Fuin down between the Ered Gorgoroth and the Crissaegrim.

Toward the end of the First Age, the Pass fell under Morgoth's control, along with the rest of Dorthonion. Orcs then built a road through the pass from the highlands of Taur-nu-Fuin, using it to raid Dimbar and the eastern borders of Doriath.
