The Bay of Andúnië was the northernmost of the three bays on the western coast of Andustar, and located on the eastern shore of that bay was the city and haven of Andúnië.

Also on the Bay of Andúnië, just south of the city, was the Hill of Oromet where the Tower of Tar-Minastir was erected.

In the early years of the Second Age the shores of the Bay of Andúnië were heavily populated and an important area of Andustar, but much of the population was shifted to Arandor when the Eldar became out of favour with rulers of Númenor and the white ships from Eressëa stopped arriving.
