Belegund was one of the First House of the Edain, the son of Bregolas and the elder brother of Baragund.

He was father to Rían, and therefore the great-grandfather of Eärendil. He lived with Barahir's outlaw band in Dorthonion, and he was slain with Baragund by Orcs after the outlaws' betrayal by Gorlim the Unhappy.
