Beregar was a descendant of the House of Bëor and so was a nobleman of Númenor. He resided in the area referred to as the Westlands .

Beregar was the husband Núneth, and together they were the parents of Erendis, who went on to marry the man who would become Tar-Aldarion.

Erendis and Tar-Aldarion had one child, Ancalimë. Ancalimë went on to become the first of the Ruling Queens of Númenor, taking the name, Tar-Ancalimë.
