Brego was the second of the Kings of Rohan in the first line. He was the son of Eorl The Young.
Brego drove the Easterlings, who slew his father, out of the Wold.
In 2569 he completed the great golden hall of Meduseld. At the feast in Meduseld to celebrate its completion, his son Baldor vowed to tread the Paths of the Dead and did not return. Brego died of grief the next year.
He was succeeded by his second son, Aldor. The name of his third son we also know. He was called Eofor and it was through him that Éomund, father of Éomer, claimed descent.
