Cabed Naeramarth, "The Leap of Dreadful Doom", is a canyon at the River Teiglin.

There Níniel jumped into the waters to her death when the dragon Glaurung told her that she was really Nienor, sister of Túrin, her own husband and the father of her unborn child.

Before that the canyon was called Cabed-en-Aras, "The Deers Leap".
