Eärnil I

Eärnil I was the nephew of Tarannon Falastur and the thirteenth King of Gondor.
He became the second of the four Ship-kings of Gondor, repaired the haven of Pelargir and built a great navy. He attempted to take Umbar, attacking it by sea and by land, and eventually achieved victory in TA 933, though with great cost, and turned it into a great harbour and fortress of Gondor.
Eärnil I was lost with many ships and men in a storm off the coast of Umbar.
Eärnil I ruled for 23 years, from TA 913-936, and was succeeded by his son, Ciryandil.
