One of the eastern regions of Rohan, situated south of the Wold, between the Entwash and the Emyn Muil.

At one time the region contained a good population of the Rohirrim and many herds of horses ran on the plains, but the predations of Mordor had caused most of the population to move closer to the White Mountains. By the time of the War of the Ring, the region was mostly uninhabited.
