Elphir was the first son of Imrahil and older brother to Erchirion, Amrothos, and Lothíriel - who married Éomer of Rohan. During the War of the Ring, Elphir was 32 years old. He was born in TA 2987, and lived for 100 years, dying in FA 66.

He had one known son, Alphros, who was born in TA 3017.
