Eluréd was the elder son of Dior Eluchíl and Nimloth. He was the brother of Elurín and Elwing.

While dwelling in Menegroth, Dior's people were attacked by the sons of Fëanor. Eluréd and his brother were taken by Celegorm and left to starve in the forest. They were never heard from again.
