A peninsula of land on the West coast of Middle-earth south of the Gulf of Lune.

After the destruction of Beleriand, a small portion of the eastern land known as Ossiriand, together with the Blue Mountains survived. This piece of land was split in two by the Gulf of Lune. The southern land was renamed Harlindon. Its chief city and port was known as Harlond of Lindon.

Harlindon was part of the Elf-homeland known as Lindon, Which also included Harlindon together with Forlindon to the North along with the lands at the mouth of the River Lhun where the city of Mithlond (The Grey Havens) was located.

All of Lindon was ruled from Mithlond from up until the last of the Elves left Middle-earth late in the Fourth Age, first by Gil-Galad and then after Gil-Galad's death, by CĂrdan the shipwright.
