A great horn tipped with silver. The horn came from one of the wild-oxes of Rhûn in about 2000 of the Third Age. It was passed down through line of Stewards of Gondor.

Boromir, son of Denethor II was the last to carry it. When Boromir carried it, he always sounded it before setting out.

It was broken in two when Boromir was killed at Parth Galen.
