The "Book of Lost Tales 2" contains a description of the 11 Houses of the Gondolindrim, known in canon only through Glorfindel of Gondolin of the House of the Golden Flower and Galdor of the Tree.

The House of the Golden Flower bore a rayed sun on their shields. Their lord was Glorfindel of Gondolin, who bore a mantle rich with threads of gold.
