Ivorwen was the wife of Dírhael of the Dúnedain, and the mother of Gilraen.

When Arathorn sought to wed with Gilraen, who was many years his junior, Dírhael opposed the union. But, Ivorwen, who was said to have been gifted with foresight, spoke in favor of the marriage, convincing her husband that it should be allowed.

Gilraen and Arathorn were wed, and she gave birth to their only son, Aragorn, who would then become the King of Gondor.
