Lambengolmor

A school of language set up by Fëanor in Valinor.
In 1959-60 Tolkien drafted the essay Quendi and Eldar with several appendices. One of these describes how when Fëanor completed his alphabetic system, the tengwar in Valinor and turned to other interests he founded a school, the Lambengolmor ‘Loremasters of Tongues’ to carry on his work. Its greatest member was Pengolodh to whom we owe the preservation of its knowledge and records. (HoME XI, Quendi and Eldar)
