Outlaw companion of Barahir and Beren, he was a man, one of the Men of Dorthonion of the House of Bëor.

In the assault of the Dagor Bragollach, the Men of Dorthonion were overrun by Morgoth's forces. Barahir took the survivors of his House into hiding in the northern highlands, above the pine forests, but they were harried and hunted by Sauron, and their numbers diminished. Eventually, only thirteen Men remained, and Ragnor was one of them: a faithful servant, soldier of the House of Bëor.

One night, as the outlaws slept by the shores of a mountain lake, they were set upon by Orcs and slain, but one Man, Beren was absent from the camp, and survived. Ragnor and all his companions were lost.
