Finally they emerged in a clearing, a safe distance from the road. They stopped and decided this would be a good place to rest since they were surrounded by dense tree's which would hide their prescence. Lurael removed Caradocs saddle and reigns and he plodded off to find some undergrowth to nibble at. She set her things down and wandered around collecting dry fallen branches for a fire, the sky was darkening and the birds had began their roosting songs high in the whispering trees that swayed and creaked slightly as if complaining they were tired. Lurael sighed, she always felt so relaxed amongst the woods and loved the sounds and the smells that were reminicent of a time she couldn't remember.

When they reached the clearing Uinaerien wispered something to Night and soon he turned into a grand eagle and flew up into the skies to keep watch for danger approaching them. She then went and sat on a boulder under a large oak tree basking the boulder in shadow. She then removed her hood letting her fair flow down around her face and her eyes seemed to shine with the light of the stars the eyrie crystaline blue that they were.

Quarion walked over to Uinaerien. He looked up at Night and said, "What kind of.....animal is Night?" He was about to say beast, but thought that it would be rude.

She looked at Quarion as he asked her this and simply answered "he is a creature born out of the purest magics, more like a guardian of sorts he has been with since the begining of my journey that start many many years ago, he has the capabilities of three forms all of which you have seen, horse, eagle, and pegasus. He is a great companion for one like myself...." she had said. She then fell silent almost in a trance like state and a single tear rolled down her cheek as she softly began to sing that song she had been heard singing a few times now before.

Dropping the wood down in the middle of the clearing, that familiar song rang in her ears as Uinaerien sang. She knelt down on the leaves, and struck a match, protecting it with her hand from the elements as she held it inside the pile of dried wood and leaves. The flame on the match danced and spread onto the leaves crackling a little. Lurael blew gentley, repeatedly until the wood began to burn. She then sat in silence listening to the melancholic music of Uninariens music, sipping from her flask that had hung from her waist. She was more thirsty than she had realised, in the dim evening light shadows formed on her face.

She looked around, there was part of land that seemed to crushed together, to make the perfect stair case to heaven. She climbed ontop, slipping only a little. The stars seemed closer now, they seemed that she could touch them.

Quarion listened to Unaerien as he thought about Night. "Moonlight is only my imagination," he said as he held his staff towards Moonlight. His horse turned into a light blue smoke.

The smoke came towards Quarion's staff and then it disappeared into the magical stone at the end of the staff.

He wrote the words "Moonlight" into the air.The words started to swirl around and then a horse appeared. It was Moonlight.

She looked at the stars and sang "Oh blessed stars remind of once agian, of the tales of old, behind the clouds, there are wonders unknown, you have seen for thousands of years, oh blessed stars remember and please tell me, I walk alone in the forest, and see you and wonder many things. oh blessed stars please tell me" the last note seemed to grow louder and the stars grew brighter.

Dawn music came, as the first forest creatures awoke. The fire was spent and from it rose a ripple of grey smoke. The dawn light was dim and Lurael lay for a time just listening, still too tired to stir herself from underneath the fur she had as a blanket. Her dreams had ended and yet still they lingered in her mind but she pushed them away, to empty her head, or at least to think of the path ahead, afterall Naskel was just a few hours away. She yawned in a way that resembled a child who has stayed up past its bed time and riggled about in her comfort.

The sun rose, and she woke up. She sat there for awhile, looking where the stars use to be, and sighed. She climbed down from the hedge and called her horse, climbing on him, she looked at the trees, there leaves were golden brown, she smiled and rode past, finally she arrived at the camp.

She smiled at them, but only for a little whille, then a frown went on her face and grief filled her eyes, she knew what she thought was true. Something was near.

On Eve's arrival, Lurael had opened her eyes, watching her she saw an expression that worried her more so than where she had been in her abscence. She sat up and put her hand on the hilt of her sword, to check it was there. She looked around but could see nothing. She crawled from her sleeping place and stood on the soft carpet of leaves. Her eyes met Eve's "What is it?" she asked her raspily in a whisper.

Eve look up and a bird flew by she looked down and frowned "Its a Gyphron".

"A Gyphron?!" Lurael gasped, breathing through her mouth, her eyes hunting their surroundings. Treading carefully over to where Quarian lay, she shook him awake and Uinaerian too "We are in peril" she had whispered urgently to them when their eyes had opened. She had time to pick up her bow and quiver of arrows, hurridley applying an arrow the the string and pulling back, waiting for the target to show itself.

The large gyphron flew over knocking few trees down in its path, Eve threw a dagger into its large claw overhead, it screeched down and knocked Eve over, and then took flight agian.

Uinaerien woke up just in time to see the griffin fly back up into the air after knocking over Eve. She then called for Night and he dove down from the skies above as he did he turned into his pegasus form. When he reached her she had already grabbed her bow and blacken tipped arrows and mounted him while he was still in flight. They took to the air and hovered above the trees merely feet away from the griffin. She pulled out two arrows and fired them at the beast in mid flight she chanted something in a strange language and the arrows divided createing many more arrows and struck the griffin in all its vitals and the burst into flames just as the griffin went to attack them both.

It's fallen scorched body lay still on the earth with no glimmer of life remaining. Lurael approached for a closer look "I have never seen one of its kind before, its almost a shame we had to kill it for it is an intriguing creature...". She drifted in thought for a few moments before turning to the others "Perhaps we should be going before we have another beast beset on us".
