Post On The Menu: Errandir's portion of CoE knowledge!

Time to refresh an old thread, a great one even! Namely ‘Trig & Ring's Weekly Dose of CoE Knowledge...’. That thread was meant to explain certain parts of the site and add new introductions about the various sections every once in a while. But since a lot of things have changed since the foundation of the site, it’s time to refresh those little pieces of information that make it so much easier for a newbie to understand what all the sections are about. Because this site is so big, it’s easy for a newbie to get lost .

So, I’ll be guiding you through your first quest on CoE, hoping to teach you what it’s all about and showing you what you can find on CoE. I’ll be telling you all the relevant things you need to know about the site. That goes from what the section is about, over who you can contact with questions about it, to additional rules you have to know for that section. But the main goal of course is to have fun and make you discover all the goodies in here .

The first section up for introduction is the Games Forum!! You’ll find yours truly there often by the way .

The Games Forum is a place where members have fun playing forum games and it's a great and easy way to get to know other members of CoE a bit (or a lot ) better. In the subforum 'Console/computer/board games' you can discuss video/board games that are going to be released or have been released, and you can ask advice for a game you're playing if you get stuck with it.

The forum is moderated by AinarielPalantir and Lady~Eowyn. If you have any questions about the Trivial Pursuit cards, please ask Lady~Eowyn because she’s the Games Admin.

There is a post about the GF’s rules here. The most important one is that about shot-gun posting (too many posts in short time), it’s broken very easily so try to not break it for a change (you can find more about shot-gun posting here) .

But it’s important to realize that the GF is about having fun, meeting people and interacting with other members of the site, you will love it in there!

Finally something new : the Role-playing Forum!!

This forum is moderated by PotBellyHairyFoot, Arwen_Undomial22 and BerethEdhellen.

Have you ever wanted to live in Middle Earth; fight battles, journey through Rohan, live in Gondor? If so, then this forum is the closest you can come. Without a doubt, Roleplaying is one of the most popular places on the entire site, and for good reason. Here, you can create your own Middle Earth persona, and set off on quests of your own. If adventuring is not for you, then fear not! Taverns, Inns, and peaceful settings abound, where the sole purpose is only to get to know other roleplayers, and have tons of fun in the process.

One note of warning though: This Forum has several additional rules of its own on top of the Forum Rules (you’ll find them here), and they are to ensure that the RP Forum remains fun, safe, and enjoyable. Be sure to read the additional rules before you get started and remember, this is a Tolkien site so our rpg's are Tolkien related.
