The third child and second son of Elros Tar-Minyatur (and thus a nephew of Elrond), Manwendil was born just decades after the arrival of the Edain in their new realm of Númenor.

A battle which took place in TA 2, in which Isildur, bearing the One Ring and heading back to Arnor up the east shore of the Anduin, meaning to cross the Misty Mountains so as to reach Imladris on the other side, was killed by Orcs near the Gladden Fields. His three oldest sons were killed with him, he was betrayed by the One Ring, which slipped off his finger in the Gladden Fields just after he had almost crossed the Anduin from east to west and he was thus killed by Orc arrows. His Esquire Ohtar managed to escape with the shards of Elendil's sword Narsil to Imladris, where was later reforged as Aragorn's sword Andúril.

Steward of Gondor from before 1944 Third Age until his death in 1998. He ruled Gondor for one year, after King Ondoher's death in 1944, and was instrumental in rejecting Arvedui's claim to the crown.

City and port built by the Eldar in the early Second Age on the eastern shore of Tol Eressëa. It had lamplit quays and a great white tower.

Primeroles:

An old name used for various types of early-flowering plants (the name gave rise to later 'primrose', though it is used in a more general sense in the quotation above). They were found by Frodo and Sam growing among the many plants and flowers of Ithilien. It's implied that they could also be found elsewhere in Middle-earth (for example, Frodo's mother Primula took her name - or at least its anglicised version - from another term for this group of flowers).

I'll give you something else:

Elf, a lord of Nargothrond, leader of a small group of Elves from Nargothrond to the Nirnaeth Arnoediad (Battle of Unnumbered Tears, fought First Age 473). Attacked madly in that battle, was taken prisoner, but managed to escape 14 years later. Was then involved in the events surrounding Túrin Turambar in Nargothrond up to its (and his) destruction.

A forest of ancient trees set around Isengard after its capture by the Ents. The trees of the Watchwood stood throughout the valley of Nan Curunir, put in place to look for any sign of Saruman secretly escaping from his Tower. Treebeard boasted that even a squirrel could not enter the Watchwood without his knowledge, and that Saruman would remain trapped for many years.

However, within a few months of this, Treebeard relented and allowed Saruman to leave Orthanc. It is unclear whether the Watchwood remained in Nan Curunir: after Saruman's release, there would be little purpose in the trees remaining, and they presumably returned to Fangorn.

The door through which Morgoth was cast at the end of the First Age, leaving him lost and alone in the Void; also through which Earendil's ship Viingolot was carried so that he could sail the skies as a star with the light of the Silmaril.

This term is applied to those Elves, who originally set out for the West but never reached Aman ('those not of Aman'), as contrasted with the Amanyar, the Eldar who did reach the Blessed Realm.

A name given by the Sindar of Beleriand to the new and hitherto unknown race of people who crossed the Blue Mountains into their starlit lands long before the first rising of the Sun. Being much shorter and stouter than the Elves, the Sindar most commonly called these incomers Naugrim, or 'Stunted People', but also called them by an alternative (and rather more diplomatic) name in recognition of their preference for living underground and their mastery of stonework: Gonnhirrim, 'Masters of Stone'.

I think you're in the wrong game, Gando! You're supposed to be telling the truth about the previous word.

Fallohides

One of three original divisions of hobbit-kind, along with the Harfoots and Stoors. The Fallohides were the least numerous of the three branches, and originally dwelt in the northern parts of Middle-earth.

The southern reaches of Mirkwood: south of the Narrows, Mirkwood formed a broad forest around the base of Amon Lanc and on eastwards for some two hundred miles.

During the Third Age, the Necromancer built Dol Guldur on the hill of Amon Lanc, and this part of the Forest was under his influence.

After the War of the Ring, Dol Guldur was torn down and the Elves of Lórien (who dwelt immediately to the west across the Anduin) claimed the southern woods. At this time the entire Forest south of the Narrows was named East Lórien, and ruled by Celeborn, though he did not remain there long. After a few years he retired to Imladris, leaving the wooded land of East Lórien populated by only a few wandering Silvan Elves.

Oh, my heart be still ......

The mightiest of Morgoth's winged dragons, loosed from Angband against the host of the Valar at the end of the War of Wrath. Even that mighty army was driven back by the onset of Ancalagon and his vassals, but Eärendil came through the sky in his ship Vingilot to do battle with the dragon armada, and he was aided by Thorondor and the Eagles. They fought for twenty-four hours, until Eärendil at last slew Ancalagon, who fell on the mountains of Thangorodrim and destroyed them in his ruin.
