I know Smeagol is evil and all, but, i find him very amusing. The way he talks and acts makes him so funny! He is my second favorite character, and does anyone else like him too?

I have seen that little video when it appeared as an "Easter Egg" in Return of the King. I will always have a soft spot for Smeagol/Gollum. Andy Serkis truly brings him to life.

I loved the riddle scene in The Hobbit. It was everything I could have hoped. Andy Serkis does a wonderful job and I bet he had a lot of fun doing it!

i wouldnt say cute, but he is hilarious. So I told my friend at school that I know almost every line Smeagol says in the movie, and she looks at me scared. (Shes not a LotR fan, but shes seen a picture of gollum)

I love the multipersonality of smeagol, and how they did it in the LOTR movies. And it just got better with the first Hobbit movie!

As far as signatures go, I wouldn't doubt it. There are people who make pictures for you to use so why not people who write things for your signature?

As far as answering the question (and I'm going to get deep here), I also think Gollum is a bit amusing. I'm going to admit to laughing at one point because I genuinely found an action of his amusing (when they tie the rope around his neck. Come on guys. Come on.). As far as the movie goes (I haven't encountered him in the books yet), I think Peter Jackson made him amusing on purpose. And no not for comic relief I mean... have you ever pitied someone for the way they are so much that you laughed at them at some point (specifically, in younger years, perhaps. When it didn't occur to you that ignoring things was a way to escape the torment of being made fun of and all)? Not to be mean, but for goodness sake can they not stand up for themselves? Or are they aware they're being made fun of? What odd state of ignorance and bliss, no? And I think that's what we were supposed to feel like with Gollum.

He is an "evil" to be pitied. But on a much lighter note, seriously. I cannot be the only one who at least chuckled the first time they saw him panic when Sam and Frodo tied the Elvish rope around his neck?

... I just realized the first paragraph kind of made me sound like a bad person. I assure you, it only happened once in the early years of middle school when I met some not-so-good people who influenced me a little bad and I didn't know better. I don't laugh at others, I swear!

I think Smeagol/Gollum is pretty funny, but in a tragic way. He doesn't know he's being funny and I doubt he means to, but he can't escape from his split personality. It will always be there to haunt him. Poor Smeagol. Wish I could keep him as a pet, I would take real good care of him.

Just make sure he doesn't throttle you in your sleep. My mom and I quote Smeagol all the time. We will randomly ask questions such as "Is it tasty is it crunchable?" My dad was sweeping his shop and stirring up a lot of dust and I said "Dust and ashes and pits, pits, pits. And orcss thousands of orcss. And always the Great Eye ever watchful." I hope I got the quote right. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Andy Serkis is amazing at motion capture, it is almost unbelievable. And yes, Smeagol is very amusing indeed. ;D
