Post What do you think about combining the two RP forums and loosening the content rules.

What does everyone think about combining the TT and TR forums into one. with the main rule being that characters cannot have abilities beyond those given to the characters in Tolkien's Middle-earth books.
That would leave us with a Roleplay forum and a Discussion/OOC forum.
I'm envisioning a forum that would allow a lot more freedom than we currently allow, but I'd like to have some member input before starting on setting it up.

I've been considering this move for months; between now and September I am going to try and move all of the TT threads to the TR forum and combine the two forums.

I'm also considering reopening the NT Forum, provided that everyone using that forum is also a regular in the TR forum

I have to say that I considered once about starting an RP here in Totally Tolkien, but reconsidered. I decided to start it in the Tolkien Related area, in case something came along that the forum powers-that-be decided wasn't "Totally Tolkien". So, the RP may be in itself "Totally Tolkien", the "Tolkien Related' forum would give some leeway for any bits of artistic license without stepping over some subjective line drawn by the powers-that-be. To me, it makes sense to merge the two forums, and if an RP is to be "Totally Tolkien", that will be decided by the RP creator-threadmaster. Just my 2¢.

Oh, I have yet to start that RP, but I have it brewed up and hope to serve it soon.
