@ Gando - Vambraces are the part of plate body armour that cover the forearms. They could be worn with, or without, the full suite of armour; and were made from either boiled leather (reinforced with length-wise strips of metal, or hardened leather), or steel.

Thanks! I'll use them as protection against scratches from my kittens.
