Post Quenya tattoo
on: September 26, 2014 11:51
Ok so I have a number of tattos thus far, one of which is in Vulcan, but I want to get one in elvish too. I think I got the lettering right but I wanted the opinion of others to make sure before I permanently put it on my body.

It is supposed to be the Quenya word for wisdom, Nolwë, in tengwar.

Almost correct: the little curl has to be on the first letter.
The first letter is "n", with the curl this becomes "no".
The middle letter is "l".
The final letter is "w", with the accent this becomes "we".

Hello. When I first told my girlfriend that I loved her, I did it in Elvish - saying melinyel. Now, four years later, she wants to get it tattooed in tengwar. Problem is I am not sure about using the tengwar. Could someone please translate it to tengwar for me? I want to make sure we have it right before she gets it!

Okay so now I have another I wanted to get after I did the previous. I found a site that had the phrase translated and I wanted to make sure it was correct before I got it tattooed. It is supposed to say "not all those who wander are lost" translated to "Queni ya ranya ullumë vanwë umir"

One small remark: if you want it to be completely correct then vanwë should be written wanwë in tengwar as the v at the beginning is in fact a w that is pronounced as a v.
