To Gondor with Gandalf. Both riders had a Hobbit with them, but I'm totally sure that Shadowfax would have been able to carry my weight very much exceeding that of a Hobbit with a shrug.

Would you rather be among those warriors who went to Gondor before the start of the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, or those joining the Battle together with Aragorn coming north from Pelargir?

Gollum. He is cuter, less expensive to feed, and less likely to kill me.

If you were a Noldor about to depart the Valinor with Feanor and Fingolfin, when you heard the Doom of the Noldor spoken by Mandos (tears unnumbered ye shall shed, etc. etc.), WYR:
A. Turn tail and run as fast as you could back the way you had come and ask Finarfin to take you in.
OR
B.Hold your head high and say, "This doom I add: the deeds that we do shall be the matter of song until the last days of Arda."

Um, the books are better, concerning scenes and quotes, but the movies are better for just a lazy day. but I'll say movies.
