Post Translations

Im reading the movie script from TTT and am wondering how they came up w/ these translations. Like how does "Natha daged dhaer" translate to "They are all going to die". The only word that sort of makes since is daged.
Elrond ~ "I give Hope to men". Aragorn ~ "I keep none for myself".

It looks like a literal translation would be "It will be great dying", the 'dhaer' is the mutated form of 'daer' which means great, and 'Natha' is future tense for to be, so 'He/She/It will be'

Almost - it's "It will be (a) great slaying." Dag- is 'to slay'. Fir- is 'to die'.

figures, the one word I didn't think I needed to look up. Well that makes a lot more sense anyway.

Thank you, now I see
Elrond ~ "I give Hope to men". Aragorn ~ "I keep none for myself".
