Yup, in the zoo on Fuerteventura, Canary Islands. There was a very high platform on one side of the corral, only the adults could look one in the eye.

TNP has seen Macaws in their natural habitat.

Yes. We have lots of bats locally as quite a few people have bat houses.

and I'm jealous, I want bats here too! I recall one hanging in our attic door when I was little, but I've never seen them fly around here since.

Very irregularly. I find skimming through the videotext news items and reading the newspapers (also on rather irregular schedules) sufficient.

I occasionally read one of the Eastern papers. The trouble with the papers here is they're all owned by Rupert Murdoch and his sons, so one has to wonder how wide the scope of the news we're getting is.

No need to, the lawn - more precisely meadow - gets mowed by the building management (they haven't mowed either so far, but it should happen soon, since we have finally had some useful rain).

TNP has planted something they usually plant in their garden each year by now.
