Well, if you want to bring the Palatir back to its “rightful owners”, you’re very welcome to come and pick it up at the front gate of Barad-dûr *snicker*. And as for smith-work, it appears that Fëanor spent most of his time working on glass trinkets. Don’t forget, I was also once associated with Aulë, so my knowledge of smith-work certainly exceeds yours *harrumph*.

Balrogs. Whoopee! Ecthelion (the fountain Elf in Gondolin) took down Gothmog, as did Glorfindel a more junior one near to Gondolin. So how was your battle with the Moria dude any better? I mean, they were just Elves, and you didn’t really do better than they did.

Not personally, certainly. My minions bring me rumors that Maglor has refused to change his style, mainly limited to schmaltzy ballads, and thus has to wait until his style once again becomes widely preferred in the swings of music fashion, and in the interim periods has taken a day job composing advertising jingles.
