Like that’s gonna happen, pipe-weed freak! Just as a wild hypothesis: you don’t want to be too close to Orodruin when it happens.

And would you then join Morgoth in the Void? I also don't think that you would be able to recover. When we destroy the ring most of you will be destroyed

Why don't you tell me? You had an out-of-body experience after your fracas with the Balrog of Moria.

Yes but I didn't lose any of my native power instead I got an increase. Do you think Hobbits are fascinating creatures? I do of course

If that twisted Gollum creature, as some strange rumors claim, is one of them, then fascinating in a twisted way would be an appropriate description - and that would appeal to my personal sensibilities, of course. But I suspect that he is not really a template specimen for the whole of this badly-documented species.

Could you have controlled Smaug and the Balrog of Moria?

Aragorn is under the impression that you don't like your real name spoken or written however the Mouth of Sauron contradicts this. Perhaps its your real Maia name "Mairon" that you don't want spoken or written

Meh! Listening to those two Maiar blab makes it clear to my why Tevildo sent his agent to Manwë and insisted in not being mentioned in any way, shape or form in the garbled tale that was finally published!

Methinks the cat doth not realize that it was Tevildo's inane mewings of just that sort that cats appear unable to suppress that led to my supplanting the simpleminded tabby in historical tomes.

The Big Boss was imprisoned in Valinor in those ages of the Two Trees after the Elves awoke, not me. That was a looooong time in terms of years of the Sun and Moon. Believe me, nobody come close to me in the knowledge of the geography if Middle-earth!

While you're there, could you check if my Ringwraiths are in there hitting the pints? Some of their last messages have been seriously below my expectations!

I'll tell you a dirty little secret: Saruman is a soap opera junkie. Between what we produce at Barad-dûr studios and the commercials we outsource, he is by now practically unable to tear himself away from his palantir. Now if we could just invent something much cheaper and more easily produced than those palantiri of Fëanor's ... the mind boggles! A "palantir" in every home, and good-bye the need for hugely costly armies!

You're just grumpy because Elrond allows pipe-weed inside Imladris, while you have to go out on the balcony in Lothlórien.

Pah! I know you nosed around Dol Guldur way back when, but even then you only managed to see what were basically the cellars. You just cannot imagine my view from my penthouse in Barad-dûr. Nothing in those tree-infested Elven abodes comes near! *snort*

How would you even know? I built this place to please me, not you. I mean, you seem to like that dinky harp music of Rivendell and Lothlórien. None of that here, just (heavy) metal!

To be honest I think Lothlorien and Rivendell are kind of boring places. My favourite place in Middle Earth is the Shire, you should check it out

I. Don't. Think. So. You may remember (do you, actually?) that I sent some of my Nazgûl there to look for that runt (rumor has it a very, very distant relative of that inscrutable Gollum creature) that you left my Ring with for 17 years? Well, from their confused reports, I can only deduce that the place practically bored them to death. Nazgûl. Bored to death!!!. Get it? Their incursion into this apparently horrifying Shire may have done them more damage that anything else that ever happened to them. Just forget that Ford of Bruinen diddly-droppings. I have the dark hunch that they never recovered from that incursion, even infecting their colleagues that never entered that terrifying black-box. Things might have gone otherwise if I had just have the waiting in Bree - or maybe even better, just at that blasted ford.
