Now what was that all about? Ran out of Old Toby and borrowed some "special mixture" from Radagast?

Mushrooms? YUCK! Don’t they grow in wet places?

I would think a dragon would love something grown in wet, dank places.

First, former Dwarf habitations are not muddy by definition. And second, wherever I exhale for the odd decade or century is a VERY DRY place (dark is an entirely different, unconnected matter - with some exhalations, my surroundings are anything but dark, Pipe-weed dude).

Well, excuse me! You're called a "lizard" aren't you? Lizards love wet, dank places.

Um, have you recently gotten obsessed with mushrooms? Possibly under the influence of Radagast? Yes, mushrooms (some of them) love wet, dark places. Dragons don’t, at least the wet part, and are personally able to eliminate excessive moisture. And as for my (much smaller) cousins – maybe you’re confusing them with Amphibians?

To be honest mushrooms taste better then that yucky Elven bread. Just don't tell Lady Galadriel as I don't like it when she yells at me.

Actually fried mushrooms are the most delectable dish, but those overgrown lizards are just not even remotely able to modulate their “grill functions” to produce edible results (indirectly yes, as they produce a whole lot of charcoal).

I don't think the dragon has a "grill function" he just "burns" everything.

I can't! One good thing about being friends with the Hobbits is that there is always food available off to the Shire I go

Maybe I should send the Nazgûl off to this Shire place the grey Istar is always babbling about, and have them check out the inns.

He just keeps dreaming of victories that will never happen, doesn't he?

He may have to send others into the Shire inns to search for his precious Nazgûl, to get them dragged out of the inns, and what the shriekers may foggily remember – most likely nothing – would hardly help him in discover new delicious dishes, never mind anything more useful for conquest.

Talking about conquests. I should rename myself as Gandalf the Great Balrog Slayer. My victory was better than Ecthelion's, all he did was push Gothmog into a fountain, I mean anyone could have done that.

Purely from a viewpoint of effectiveness, the Elf certainly trumps the grey Istar by far. Only a fountain? Whatever, his opponent stayed down for keeps after this single action. No pushing off a bridge, long fall into a subterranean lake, chasing all over Moria and up the Endless Stairs, and pushing off a second time, off the mountaintop. Not quite what I would call something to brag about. Image

What, to play “fetch” with the pooch? Even if he had been in the mood for such games, fat lot of good it would have done! He would constantly have brought the stuff back! He was very fast and very good at tracking!

So much babble about four-leggies! Myself, I mostly preferred two-leggies (their approaching my regal throne does not really count!)
