There's no Silmarillion movie in sight from Peter Jackson, but that doesn't stop the fans doing a film of their own:

The Fall of Fingolfin is a non commercial short film in the making by Tolkien fans, for Tolkien fans.
With director Michael Wolff at the helm, our team is made up of artists from different countries who share their love for the world of J.R.R. Tolkien and the common goal of bringing to screen The Silmarillion's epic fight between King Fingolfin and Morgoth.
