Post Best translation for this phrase?
on: December 07, 2017 07:51
Hi, I'm new to the COE forums. I've studied quenya on my own and I wanted to engrave a silver ring (gift for a friend) that I am making with the following phrase enscribed:

"May this gift (ring) bear you good fortune upon your journey."

My grammar might be slightly off but this is what I've come up with:

"Nai anna (corma) sina colatye alma tielyanna."

I might change anna to corma so that is why it is in parentheses. I just wanted to see if my translation could be improved... I'm not sure about the tense. Any helpful suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
