Post Translation for word "Withering"

Good day! I was hoping someone could help me with this.

I'm trying to translate the word "withering" into Quenya.

I've found the Q. word, hesta - which means "wither". (ambar-eldaron)

And, I've found Q. histanë, which is "fading". (elfdict).

But, I can't find how to add the -ing to the end of "hesta".

Histanë - fading - would work, if there's no way to create "withering", but it's not ideal for my purposes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When you need the ing-form to form a continuous tense, e.g. the plant is withering. Quenya does not use to be or an ing-form but a present tense: i olva hestëa.

If you want an adjective you have to use the active participle. The active participle of this verb adds -la, so it becomes hestala (e.g. the withering plant: i olva hestala).

The final form is the gerund hestië. It is used as an independent word: hestië ná ulca (withering is evil).

So, if I wanted the name of something called "The Withering".... I would use Histië?

And, would it be i Histië? Or would the article be assumed but not used?

Sorry, I made a typo in the last example: hestië is of course the correct form (as I mentioned in the first part).
And using the article before a gerund is perfectly acceptable.
