Post A Middle Earth moment

Where I live (Minnesota's North Shore of Lake Superior) is in places very Lothlorien; however, most people here tend to see this as a long-lost county of Alaska, i.e., they're more Red Green Show and not very Tolkien-esque. But yesterday as I was doing my run, I went out onto a small wooded peninsula in our harbor, and there I heard someone playing a recorder, the tune The Misty Mountains Cold. Cool, I thought. But when I investigated, it was a teenaged girl who seemed shocked to be found out. At least she didn't respond to my hail Mae govannen mellon nin!, so I kept running. Still, it was the most fortuitous Saturday After Thanksgiving in a long time.

Definite Tolkien influence there. It makes me cry every time. Robin Williamson is still performing in the US with his harp. The Story of Taliesin is lovely.
