Aiya,

I would like to have a quenya study buddy...What do you guys think about starting a similar studdy buddy program for quenya. ?????

Language : English
Level : just starting lesson 3

Good idea! We might still be too few Quenya students for it to work, but let´s try. So, meldonyar, if you want a study buddy or want to be one, please post here and I´ll try to pair you up with someone. Don´t forget to mention your level of knowledge (just state which lesson you´re on).

I could need a study buddy, but my time on the net is limited in the time to come...I'll have to see. But I have time now, until saturday.

I'm finished with all the lessons, though I need to repeat many of them...

This sounds like a great idea; goodness knows, I need one!

Knowledge: This is going to be weird... I'm up to Lesson Two (Nouns) in the Quenya course, but I have a tendency to jump around a bit. I read the Quenya summary, so I do know some things...

Hi all, i'm new here, and i couldn't help but notice this thread.
I would love a study-buddy, but i'm afraid i would definitely need someone more advanced than me. I aim to learn quenya well enough to speak it, but i'm aware that it will take a lot of time. But enough with the chit-chat, here is the vital info:


Language: Norwegian, but i'm also skilled in English.
Skill: Totally new Studying first lesson
Partner(s): More advanced than me, but then again, that doesn't say too much since i'm at the beginning.

I speak english... duh lol

A buddy would def. be helpful. I do however live in Australia so finding me online might be difficult if you aren't in my timezone although there's always PMs and email

hey everyone!!!
it's about time we quenya speekers show all those Sindarin people we can do this to!!! there is too much sindarin on this site and not enough quenya - very happy to see a quenya corse in the work book section.
I would love a study buddy, only thing is i've been using the Ardalambion quenya corse can i still get a study buddy?? is anyone else using this corse? [up to lesson 3 if your interested]
if not i intend to read through the workbook corses soon anyway.

I´ll try to find you a buddy as soon as possible! Don´t worry about using the Ardalambion course; it´s the best and the one we use too! If you check the Lesson threads you´ll see that the "lessons" here are in fact summaries of the Ardalambion ones; only the exercises are new.
For now, please don´t use the workbook - it´s not ready yet, so we can´t see what you write in it

Hi

I'd really like a Quenya study buddy if that could be arranged... I speak English, and am pretty fluent in French. I've been studying Sindarin for the past few months, and now I'm curious about Quenya. I've done all the exercises in the workbook so far (1-6) but am still very much a beginner!

I've looked at the Ardalambion course, but not extensively... I haven't really gone through and looked at everything, just read a little here and there...

P.S. Almost forgot-- I'm from the Eastern United States, so if any future study buddy wants to be on at the same time as I am, I will probably be on in the afternoons in my time zone.

Ersulwen, (no need to hide, meldonya) a "study buddy" is just someone you study together with... it could be someone on the same level as you that you discuss with, because you may be good at different things, or you can make exercises for each other...or an advanced student could help out a newbie as his/her "mentor" and answer questions. Exactly what you choose to do together is up to each pair of buddies (you can find more ideas in the Sindarin study buddy thread in the main Elvish101 forum).

Perhaps you´d like a buddy? Oinklikeapig wants one and you two seem to be at about the same level - both great students

Excellent, Ersulwen! Then you and oinklikeapig are study buddies now! I´ll PM both of you shortly.

As for how to communicate - use what you like best; some use PM:s, some use e-mails. I suggest you begin with introducing yourselves to each other

I've started the quenya course once before but didn't get it.
I was in a group of translators and we have translated the english course into a dutch course, so now need to learn the stuff.
I'm also working on sindarin.
So quenya I'm at lesson 0

First language: Dutch, but can also work with english

Attention all buddies! And everyone who hasn´t got a study buddy yet!

Everyone's paired up now, except for Bellyn, so please send me a PM if you would like to help Bellyn. I'm sure more students will want buddies soon, so really, everyone who's the least interested, please let me know. You don't have to have read all the lessons... you will be of great help to anyone who's some lessons after you!
