Wow its awesome I wish I could read it.
Wow! Great detail.
The first two complete lines say: “day being the tenth of November Balin lord of Moria fell…”
WOW!! You can read Dwarfin Beren_Elaran??
Thats amazing…i wish i could read it too.
It’s high Elven
Dwarvish consists of the more block-like letters…. I think
You don’t have to be able to read it to find this part in the book.
I wish I could read it also
I am trying to learn how to read runes but it is so difficult
for a piece or torn paper, its beautiful…
Wow. Wicked awesome!
this is in the fotr page 418 and says ” day being the tenth of November Balin lord of Moria fell in the
chamber of records room. we drove out orcs from the great gate and guard room. we slew many in the bright.”
the rest i cannot read
i have seen it in another site but it wasyelloish and so small…it’s great
I can read what I can see propperly, and it looks like it’s in English, adapted to the writing
phonetically (the writing is Elven, by the mode of Beleriand). I’ve been able to read “november”, “slew”
and quite a few other words…I’m not as keen-eyed as I once was…
That’s from the 50 anniversary edition of LOTR!!!!
cooooooooooooool!! I love it!!!!!!!!
I’ve read the first bit: “estre day being the” (8h7hn l81l 2]Õ wl`g ) if you have the font)
Wow it’s beautiful. I have got to learn how to read that.
it is strangely haunting. (btw is anyone here a christian?)
Wow, Its sooo amazing…(I’ma Christian Lady Of Imladris!) I Really have to work on my rune reading.
I have the book with this picture! And it from 50 anniversary edition.
That’s so cool! I need to learn script, but it’s harder than runes. (Yes, I’m a Catholic)
How do you learn to read it? It’s soooo cool.
That looks totally awesome and I wish I could read it.
How do you know read this?
Amazing! It’s really cool. Love the Elvish font on the leaf! R.I.P. ~ J.R.R. Tolkien
P.S. I’m a Christian!
dwarvish is runic, i can read and write fluently in runes 😀
It takes me a while to read tengwar, and sometimes I have to look up one of them, but if you write out the
sounds on a paper and copy down peoms and excerpts from tolkien, that’s how im learning
