    This isn’t actually the Fangorn forest but his first painting of an Elf. That Elf being Beleg I think.

    He’s there in the lower right corner, and the forest is that of Doriath.

    left corner and Gwindor is the grey thing lying down at the bottom of the big tree. Hope that helps.

    It actually looks like it could be Fangorn – kind of dark, but I guess that’s Mirkwood, not Fangorn.
