My poor Thranduil don’t have a ring of power like Elrond or Galadriel so the elves can’t ride the spider!

Answer to above questions about spiders: They try. And fail. There are too many. WAY too many.
Teh spiders are decended from Shelab. And it WAS nice there, probably like Lorein, before the spiders came.
Way back when it was Greenwood. Is it just me or is the spider a midget? It should be really big, right?
The hobbit says they’re giants… o_O Maybe the trees are just really really big…
The spiders can’t be THAT small, one DID defeat thirteen dwarves…
Actually, there were several of the spiders to take care of the dwarves, and they could talk!
