creepy eyes!
Very! Especially the horses’, Nazgul horses are really neat!
I’m the ghost of Christmas Past!
on a horse!
Aw! Pretty horsie!
yeah, but how do you know thÃs is Khamul the Easterling, huh?
OoooO! *shivers run up spine* That’s not creepy at all *major sarcasm*
Is it just me, or does the horse look like Elvis?
*sings*YOU AINT NOTHING BUT A NAZGUL! SEARCHIN ALL THE TIME!!!!
Woe . . . the eyes remind of the little starwars guys who never take their hoods off!
Isn’t the witch king called er-murazur?
o__o Nazgul-chan!! ^__^ *tackle hugs Khamul* Muwahahaha!! So awesome!
He looks like a red eyed grim reaper, sorta.
Why does the creeps always have red eyes. Why not green or something??
The Ents took green eyes, i think.
Eyes aren’t that menacing.
He’s an Easterling?
This is so cool! I don’t know why, but it sent a shiver up my spine!
What’s an easterling?
Oh, the horse DOES look like Elvis… maybe because of the hair.
black!
ya know the eyes look like those evil teddy bears from star wars….
you know, this is sooo perfect, but why is it white? Maybe its jus the lighting, but it looks white!
This guy looks like a tall Jawa. Y’know the freaky little hooded critters from star wars…
OOH, eerie…does remind me of jawa
Did their eyes light up like that? “Look, Mommy! Floating Christmas lights!”
My favorite Nazgul picture!
good pick but the text is incorrect, Thats not the only Nazgul whos name is known. Er Murazor, The Witch King
Looks sorta like one of those Black Mages from Final Fantasy. *hums Mysidia theme*
the leaves r so realistic (everything else too)-a forest dweller
hehe, that looks like one of my teachers…
one word: creepy
the eyes are so creepy that i am speechless…
I don’t know how anybody can tell them apart.. unless there eyes are different shades of red.
What’s that? comparing a Nazgûl with a jawa from SW?!? LOL!
the eyes are seriously freaking me out, but with a pic like this that’s a good thing.
Why are the horses eyes creepier than the Nazguls?
i thought in the book it said you couldn’t see it’s face which includes his eyes. but i like it though
the horse is scarier than the nazgul
its brilliant, i love it. especially the eyes. actually, i read somewhere that tolkien never said anything
…about murazor or the other nazguls names (except khamul), someone made that up for a card game or something
Excelent. I love it. Mostly the horse though. It looks as if it is breathing out smoke…I want one!
the picture seems a bit bright for this kind of scene. He should have made it darker and creepier…
I never liked any kind of conception where the Nazgul have glowing eyes. It always reeks of Bakshi.
I can hear the horse say: Thank you, thank you very much…
It really does scream “Jawa on horseback”, though, doesn’t it? I do like the atmosphere of this painting.
they also know the witch kings name, and i’ve never heard of khamul.
spectacular! the beautiful atmosphere is ominous. I’ve always loved and admired the work of John Howe,
but this is gorgeous! In the movie these guys were some of my favorite. =]
I thought all the Nazgul had names, except the WK. There’s Khamul, Uvatha, Adunakhor, Adunaphel, Ren, Indur,
Hoarmurath….and someone else I’ve forgotten.
Oh yes, and Dwaw.
my eyes burn in the red lights
when the lights go down in the city
i’ll have to add this one to my list of fave horsies…lets see, bill, shadowfax, brego…
Uhm…. Yea it REALLY does looks like Elvis…… Pretty cool….
ooh scary! I would run if i saw that…the nazgul are the scariest of villians besides Sauron.
yuck the eyes are creeping me out!
ya know what I think.. I think that sence the Nazgul cant die why did souron just make a army of them wich
would be like only 7 but still.. if they cant die how will the other people win?
the eyes scare me…that is sooo awsome!it’s so good!
No no no! It looks like a tipical ghoul like creature. Bleh, the movie even did it better than that.
i knew the Nazgul had to have names!!! hahahaa!!!!
LOL! it looks like a jawa
(you have to see star wars to know what i mean 😛 )

oops, srry, i thought I was typing in a diff window ^^;
the eyes add a realy nice touch
Yes, Iciris, I agree… but here’s something — why is the greatest of the Nazgul the ONLY one who can die?
Gollum said “you cannot kill them”, but Eowyn and Merry killed the Witch-king! How does that work?
Ireth Telrunya-(I think) there was a prophecy that said no man would kill the Witch-King. I guess people
assumed that meant he couldn’t be killed
Hey Maushash, where did you get those names? I knew about Khamul, but not the others. Sweet!!!
Ohhh! Beware Witch-King is coming…ahhhh !!!
I love this picture! It makes me feel exactly like one should when they meet up with a nazgul!!!!! Awesome!!!!
Poor horse, what he do to deserve this.
Another beautiful pic! i like that fact that it’s white; to me that gives the dark, eerie tree branches more c
ontrast, and the horse and rider seem more made of shadow… priceless!
I think Mithril Miniatures came up with the names. I always liked the names, but not the idea that some were
Easterlings, Haradrim, ect. Anywho, I think this picture is pretty good.
As to the death matter, my theory is that the Witch-King would have returned, given time, like he did after
they died at Bruinen.
They were all going to die anyway, because they were bound to the one adn it was destroyed. Sort of like my
reaction if they ever banned lotr *shudders at the thought*
ooo! nazgul are soo freaky!!!
Exactly, Curunir. That’s why he didn’t return, I think. *sighs* And now Games Workshop has Khamul the
Easterling. Love the figure, as usual, but still not the “Easterling” thing.
Where did the name “Murazor” come from? I’ve never heard that one.
Okay, got it (thanks to Wikipedia). He was given the name Er-Murazor in the old RPG. Works for me.
Khamul of East is indeed the only one Nazgul, whose name is known. I’ve heard about that Er-Murazor but…
I don’t think Tolkien is told his name(Witch-King’s name I mean)
and Nazguls don’t die, until The One Ring is not destroyed – they just become ethereal – without bodies
*blink blink* mommy…
those hoods are a turn off
I would NOT want to meet him! Deliciosly creepy. Simply wonderful. Jawa!! HaHa : )
Khamûl is indeed the only one with a name but on a sidenote, didn’t Gandalf say that they were normal horses?
The one the Mouth was riding was disscribed as hidious but Tolkien never said anything out of the ordinary
About the ones the Nazgul were riding.
Shouldn’t they be black?
thehorse is creepy! can you say haloween?!?
excellent representation of the evil these guys represent. I like it
IT’S A JAWA! YAY!!!!!
IT’S A JAWA!!!!!
oops, didn’t know I already wrote that…
Oooh, this is scary, especially the horse.
Seriously, the horse DOES look like Elvis. This picture is magnificent! It makes me shiver… —
— Sorta makes me feel like he’s looking for ME in particular. The eyes really make the picture!
Makes sense that some of the Nazgul would be Easterlings/Haradrim, since they were Sauron’s main (only?) human
allies in the War of the Ring.
