Of course it is better than the animated one! It looked like Gollum with blomde hair and a of leaves

So, that’s supposed to be Thranduil? For some reason he looks a whole lot younger than I imagined him in the
book. I can’t believe that this is Legolas’ dad, he looks younger than Legolas too.
Maybe this is him before Legster was even around. *shrugs*

In The Hobbit, they mentioned him with golden hair. It must be the moon.
i think i would be alarmed if my hair changed from golden to white on a nightly basis

Ralph Bakshi made the 1978 LotR movie, the animated Hobbit was made by Rankin-Bass.

this is one of the best Thranduils I’ve seen though I’ve always pictured him with long golden hair.
